Fundraising with Hazel Blears

On Tuesday February 16th Horsham Labour party held a fund-raising quiz in Horsham, which was co-hosted by Hazel Blears MP and Andrew Skudder, our candidate at last year's general election.

Hiroshima remembered - 6th August

Horsham Interfaith Forum have organised a commemoration of the anniversary of the Hiroshima bomb.

The event takes place at 7:30am in the Peace Garden, Denne Road Cemetary on August 6th. Everybody is welcome regardless of faith.

Back from Tolpuddle

Members of Horsham Labour party were at the Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival today, enjoying the bright and totally unforecasted sunshine.

The festival is a celebration of the formation of the trade union movements.  The main event is a parade through the village of unions, branches of political parties and other organisations.

We hope to have our own banner for the 2011 festival, but in the meantime members joined their unions.

Health meeting agenda

We have had an update on Tuesday's health meeting, hosted by the North Horsham County Local Committee in an email from West Sussex county council, including agenda items and timings.

This is an opportunity for the general public or interested organisations to hear about plans for our health services first-hand from those responsible for them and to ask questions about health services.

Leadership hustings

On Tuesday 20th July there will be a leadership hustings hosted by Crawley CLP at the Hawth Studio in Crawley, starting at 7:30pm.

Several of the campaigns have already agreed to send representatives and it is hoped that every candidate will be represented on the night. This event is open to all Labour party members from all local parties so members of Horsham CLP may attend.

Make sure you bring your party membership card - they will be checked at the door.

Health meeting

The North Horsham County Local Committee will be hosting an event considering health issues in the North Sussex are on Tuesday 20th July 2010.

The event is free and open to all members of the public.  Horsham Labour party has no involvement - we are just publicising it because we think it is an important topic which many of our members and supporters will be interested in.
