Horsham Labour: Back from Tolpuddle

Members of Horsham Labour party were at the Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival today, enjoying the bright and totally unforecasted sunshine.

The festival is a celebration of the formation of the trade union movements. The main event is a parade through the village of unions, branches of political parties and other organisations.

We hope to have our own banner for the 2011 festival, but in the meantime members joined their unions.

Missing Lib Dems

Looking for Horsham Lib Dems? There is less chance every day of finding them actually in Horsham. One of the Horsham councillors lives in Hastings, paying flying vists at our expense for meetings, one lives in Greece and another is away studying for most of the year.

We think that residents would prefer councillors they can meet and talk to and not councillors who think everything can be done by e-mail.

We recently called Lib Dem HQ to get hold of a copy of the manifesto they fought the general election under. The receptionist said "I'm sorry, we've sold out."
We said that we knew that but did they have any copies of their manifesto...
