I was taking a New Year's Day walk with friends in one of the many beautiful areas of countryside within our constituency and talk turned to the Boxing Day hunt and whether or not this was something I might ever consider taking part in.

As a parliamentary candidate, I have been receiving lots of emails asking my opinion on the hunting ban, and efforts to repeal the ban. 
I am replying to these emails but I thought it might be useful to state my position here as well for the record.
