Labour's Candidates' Nomination Success

Ray Chapman, Secretary of Horsham Labour Party, today welcomed the successful nomination of all 14 Labour candidates standing in Horsham for the West Sussex County Elections to be held on 4th June 2009.

Labour will contest every seat across both the constituency and Horsham District.

I would like to thank all our candidates for seeking nomination and a big thanks to all our members and supporters who signed the nomination papers.

I have lived in Holbrook for 27 years and am really enthusiastic about the propect of representing Holbrook on the County Council.

I have seen many changes in the years I have lived in Holbrook but I think one of the most important events was the building of a modern surgery which offers excellent services to its patients.
Ray Chapman is also the Chair of the Holbrook Youth Club Management Committee, a position he has held for the last 15 years. He is fully committed to the youth movement and through his involvement in meetings organised by the County Council in the running of the Youth Service across West Sussex, he has gained a unique insight to the workings of the County Council.

Ray is most proud of the YOF funding which has been a great success and has given many young people experiences that they probably wouldn't have had access to otherwise.

Ray finished with a very positive message to the people of Holbrook, and Horsham in general.

With a wealth of experience in the voluntary sector I feel very well qualified to
represent the local residents in Holbrook.

Every voter in Horhsam will have two opportunities to vote Labour on the 4th June, one for your County Council Candidate and a second for Labour in the European Elections.

I would like to wish all our candidates the very best of luck in the elections and call on the voters of Horsham to get behind Labour on the 4th June.
